Sepsis Canada 2nd Annual Scientific Meeting

September 12 - September 13, 2023

This Annual Scientific Meeting will be a two-day meeting that will for the first time be held in-person. The objectives of the meeting are to raise awareness about sepsis and its impact, provide education on the latest research and evidence-based practices for sepsis management, and discuss a national strategy to develop sepsis policies and protocols in Canada. 

We extend our warm invitation to researchers, healthcare providers, trainees, patient partners, and members of the community who share an interest in sepsis research. Trainees are especially encouraged to submit abstract(s) for poster presentations, as spaces are limited. Abstracts must be submitted by midnight (PST) on August 14th, 2023.

Abstract Length & Limitations:

  • The abstract should be no longer than 350 words.
  • You are allowed to include one figure in your abstract.
  • Ensure that your abstract adheres to the standard format, including sections such as Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Each individual can submit a maximum of two abstracts as a lead or primary author.

Poster Presentation:

  • If your abstract is accepted, you will have the opportunity to present your work as a poster during the scientific meeting.
  • The maximum size allowed for posters is 3 feet (height) by 4 feet (width).

Action on Sepsis operates on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples — xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
