Dr. Garth Meckler

Dr. Meckler has a strong interest in the prehospital emergency care of children and served as the Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship director and assistant section chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University for 6 years before taking a position as Division Head of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver and Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at UBC. In addition to clinical, teaching, and administrative duties, Garth as a strong interest in prehospital research and education and has been involved in an NIH funded study of EMS safety in pediatric care.
