Dr Wiens is an epidemiologist and public health researcher with a strong focus on pediatric sepsis, mobile health (mHealth), and health systems strengthening. For the past 10 years he has led the development and implementation of a series of studies aimed at deriving and validating clinical prediction models for post-discharge mortality among mothers, newborns and children in Uganda.
