Tanjila Akter

MSc Student

Tanjila Akter is an international MSc student in Population and Public Health at UBC, MITACS Accelerate Fellow, and Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute for Global Health at BC Children’s Hospital. Her research focuses on updating post-discharge mortality prediction models for children under 5, with a specific emphasis on incorporating discharge criteria into the model.

She previously earned an MSc in Statistics from the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh.
