Tanjila Akter
Research Assistant
Tanjila Akter is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Global Health at BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre with the Smart Discharges Program, under Dr Matthew Wiens. Her research focuses on updating post-discharge mortality prediction models for children under 5, with a specific emphasis on incorporating discharge criteria into the model.
She recently completed a Master's of Population & Public Health at UBC, where she was also a MITACS Accelerate Fellow, and previously earned an MSc in Statistics from the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh.
