Diagnosis of viral infections in children by metagenomic nanopore sequencing

Accurate diagnosis of viral infections in sick children is essential for doctors to determine the best therapy, prevent further infections, and get kids home sooner. This study will allow us to assess whether metabolic sequencing can improve upon standard test methods to detect viruses in our children’s samples.
