A new educational resource on post-sepsis syndrome for survivors and caregivers

In this 30-minute webinar, we will provide an overview of post-sepsis syndrome and the new educational resource developed in collaboration with the Action on Sepsis Patient Advisory Council and BC PQSC. The webinar will start will a presentation from S Korstad, a former nurse with lived experience with post-surgical sepsis and post-sepsis syndrome who now works with Action on Sepsis as a patient partner.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define what post-sepsis syndrome​ is.
  • Describe some of the physical, cognitive and psychological effects that sepsis survivors can experience after discharge.
  • Describe where a patient in BC can access information on recovery from sepsis following discharge.
