POPCORN brings together researchers, clinicians, and patient partners to form a pan-Canadian pediatric research platform and answer important questions in child health. While created in response to COVID-19, the platform will provide the infrastructure to prepare for future pandemics or any child health issues of importance. Led by Dr. Caroline Quach at the Centre hospitalier universitaire Sainte-Justine in Montreal, POPCORN brings together 16 pediatric hospitals across the country, including BC Children’s Hospital, to form a national framework for pediatric research. This collaboration will allow research sites to mobilize knowledge and provide the latest evidence to decision-makers in Canada and around the world. Dr. Manish Sadarangani is the lead investigator on behalf of the Canadian Immunization Monitoring Program, ACTive (IMPACT).
